By the end of early voting, 42 percent of registered voters statewide had already cast their ballots. Democrats had the highest turnout in the early voting period, with 47 percent of registered Democrats casting ballots. Republicans were next with 39 percent, and 34 percent of unaffiliated voters cast ballots.
